Shree Bharathi Vidyalaya, an English Medium School, run under the patronage of Shankaracharya Shree Shree Raghaveshwara Bharathi Mahaswamiji, Shree Ramachandrapura Math, was established in May 2002. The school is a unit of Shree Raghavendra Bharathi Kalyana Kendra, a registered trust. Shree Swamiji is a constant source of inspiration and guidance to the school.

We have a set of well trained and committed teachers who impart knowledge

with love and care. We have a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:20 ensuring individual attention to every student. This is a ‘Learner-centred’ institution which provides an invigorating environment to both teachers and students to improve their knowledge and skills. We believe learning is a continuous process and teacher is a facilitator, who promotes learning. We emphasise on building moral values, self confidence and positive attitude in students and teachers.

At the Helm

The school is managed by a Governing Council, which has professionals from various fields. The school has academic advisors who are experts in the field of modern and traditional education. They provide constant guidance in all academic matters.

Infrastructure

The school, a co-educational institution, is located in a spacious campus at Vijayanagar, Bangalore. The school campus has a modest playground, a story corner and ample free space within the boundary walls. The school building has large well- ventilated class rooms, well-equipped physics, chemistry, biology and computer labs and a good library.

The auditorium has a seating capacity of 500, adequate to conduct functions and festivals of the school.

Curriculum

The school is affiliated to the ICSE, New Delhi, for the purpose of All India Secondary School Examination for class X. The school follows the rules and the curriculum prescribed by the ICSE.

Medium of instruction is English.

Computer in Education

We have a good local area networked computer lab with broad-band connection. The school provides computer education from class 1. We have tied up with NIIT for this purpose. The teachers effectively use computers to teach various subjects. The students use computers to gather supplementary information to enhance their learning.

Co-curricular Activities

Sports: All the classes have 3 to 4 periods of physical education per week. Yoga classes are held every Saturday. Students get special training in athletics. Annual sports competitions are held in athletics and sports events like kho-kho, volleyball, throw ball and badminton. Children also participate in interschool competitions. The school has a well-equipped mini-band.

Music: Students have lessons in music every week, conducted by an eminent artist. Children participate in various inter-school music competitions and win prizes.

Literary Activities: Book reading sessions and reviews are conducted regularly. Debating, quiz and elocution competitions are organised. We also encourage our students to undergo other training like abacus and Vedic Maths.
