His Holiness Srimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji is the present Samsthana (spiritual head) of Sri Ramachandrapura Math. Adi Guru Shankaracharya founded this spiritual order, (Math) at Gokarna, Karnataka and it belongs to the Advaitha Path. Later the Math shifted to Hosanagara and is situated on the banks of Sharavathi river in Shimoga District, Karnataka. The Math has an unbroken lineage of illustrious and illumined gurus.
Sri Swamiji is the thirty sixth Guru of this Peetam and is well known through out the world for his knowledge,spiritual guidance, leadership and social commitment. His holiness’ concern for human welfare and environmental issues have made him one of the most revered leaders of contemporary times.
Ramayana Satra, World Conference on Indian Cow, Bharathiya Gou Yathra, Kotineerajana, Vishwa Mangala Gou Grama Yathra, are some mass movements which bear witness to this visionary leader’s organizing skill and charisma. Sri swamiji has launched a number of social and spiritual welfare projects. His Holiness’ devotion to Sri Rama, Sri Chandramouleeshwara, Sri RajaRajeshwari and Hanuman inspires and draws innumerable devotees to the path of dharma. He is revered through out Bharath and the world and his magnetic personality draws devotees,disciples and seekers to his lotus feet.
